Being Pessimistic

If the glass is half empty ... its half empty ....there is no denying it..... Try every law in physics chemistry anything but you can’t disapprove of it. However people like to dream and build castles floating in air, guess what? Doing so they go to the extent of discounting the laws of probability ......In my opinion an optimist is a person who is afraid of accepting failure and comes up with ways to console himself. Thinking positive is not going to get you anywhere, an optimist is a person who lives in a pseudo world where he sees the world in one color, the color of hope. I just can’t stand a person who lives this life in a world with the hope that life will get better, happier and the world will be a better place just by being positive. Reality check ….. If I were to sit under a tree and think about the betterment of everyone around and walk around like a sadhu/muni instilling hope would I ever be able to accomplish my ambitions or goals in life like owing a mansion on Sunset Boulevard or racing down the road in my 1 million quid car.

I believe if it wasn’t for pessimist the human race is would never have accomplished what it has today, mind you every person of significance to a noble cause was a pessimist Charles Darwin (god never created anything it was natural selection), Alexander, Beethoven (Ohh!! Yes) …………. Optimism is the thought that makes you think that every souls around you will be saved when its raining bullets (maybe because he is whimsical or outright dumb to interpret the situation) while an pessimist expecting the usual will run like there is no tomorrow to save his sorry ass …… guess what who in the end has a higher chance of survival. If you think can achieve everything in life by just being good to other and expecting good things to happen to you and everyone around: Wake-up darling, smell the coffee. Its time for your mental check-up today. Does this overly competitive world, where every other person is looked upon like a stepping stone have the time to think about how good a human being you are (in short do they give a shit) ….. Naaaah. The world is an ugly place, on-one has the time or the energy to be reasoning for others benefit (after all time is a commodity, why waste it). During my stay at IIML, I have realized one thing, which is everyone for themselves…… there is nothing called a free lunch. The rule as far as the job market is concerned is pretty simple; If you got it you stay, else the door is right behind you ……. well that’s as plain as it gets. Once a famous character (Shylock) in the merchant of Venice said “I hive not with drones” (i.e. I don’t associate with people that have no significance to me).

Pessimism rules …….. and keeps you fighting for the betterment of an individual as well as the human race.
